Wishes 4 Kids has been created to grant a wish for children and youngsters in Leicestershire who are life limited, terminally ill, have experienced life-changing physical or emotional traumas, have suffered major abuse or are diagnosed as HIV Positive. The Charity grants wishes for those of eighteen years and below
Wishes 4 Kids has already granted hundreds of wishes for local children.
A Child's wish can act as a focus for those about to undergo painful treatments. It can be a moral booster for those who have experienced traumas or it can simply say that someone cares.
Sadly we do not have a magical cure for the suffering of these youngsters and 60% of the wishes granted are for children who are no longer with us, however, we can bring a short period of respite and with you donations you can help make a wish come true.
The time when a child has a wish granted is a moment that will be treasured by them for the rest of their life. It is also a time which parents will remember - that time when their child forgot the suffering.
Wishes for kids is a very personal charity with contact remaining with families long after a wish is granted
Wishes can be anything from providing a laptop or a large screen Tv for young people with sight problems, Trips to Disneyland Paris is one of the most requested, helicopter flights over the child's house, meeting music,TV or sporting personalities or just being a princess for a day with a makeover or visiting places - each requires funds for the transportation costs etc to make that wish special.
